Colby was an inspirational young man who had overcome adversity to win one of the hardest fights ever fought under the CORE MMA banner. Colby passed away in December 2017 due to suspected suicide.

Colby Harris Memorial Cup

In 2018, CORE MMA announced the Colby Harris Memorial Cup as a way of remembering the enduring spirit that Colby brought to the team. The cup is presented among the special awards at the End of Year prizegiving for the athlete who best represents Colby's spirit in 'Overcoming Adversity'.
